It was a much warmer night. Although the unofficial tentsite does not yield any views, but it does equip with a fire ring and nice log benches. Since we're highly motivated to get out earlier and have pizza for meal, we got ready and got on the trail before 9. The most elevation today was the morning climb up to the Weeks. Once that got out of the way, the traverse on Weeks was a bliss. Some where after Middle Weeks and South Weeks, we ran into Ryan and Rob who were trail running the entire ridge northward. A quick chat later, we headed up to South Weeks.

By now, I had developed a blister on my left heel, and fasten my boots too tight had pinched and bruised my angle. Even the 2.5 miles of flat and beautiful ridge walk to Waumbek was painful to me. Once at Waumbek, I decided to ditch my boots and hike all the way down in my crocs. The trail out was soft and pleasant. After another break at Starr King, we strolled down the trail accompanied by the warm autumn sun all the way back to my car. Concluded another great backpacking trip. Life is GOOD!
